Have it!

And so the first cup of the season is ours, all ours bwahahahaha.

It was a game that had everything. Goals, injuries, a massive punch up and me sleeping through the first half after a rather hefty lunch at Maxi's Chinese restaurant.

From what I can tell from the match reports, Arsenal's young side were flamboyant, quick, and exciting to watch. Unfortunately, they ran out of legs in the second half and the dour, dull, industrious workhorses of Chelsea took hold of the game and went a goal ahead. All of this was marred by Diaby mistaking Terry's head for the ball (yes, yes, I know it was an accident, but his foot was awfully high) and then Toure and Obi Wan starting a pushing fight in extra time that degenerated into a massive "pile on" fight that seemed to involve everyone, including the managers.

Three red cards, Fabregas and Lamps lucky not to join them, but still the cup is ours.

As Barca sometimes find when they play us that you can be as flamboyant, quick and exciting to watch as you like, but its the ball in the back of the net that counts.

I think you possibly deserved it - Drogba was clinical with both goals (I'm not going to say offside....ah) and Cech kept you in it early on with some outstanding saves. If we'd been two up going in at half time it could well have been a rather different story. But, as you rightly point out, your name gets engraved on the cup and ours doesn't. I'm still hugely proud of the 'Young Guns' though; some of the fluid passing and interplay was awesome. And I'm glad JT seems to have recovered; foot high, head low? Immaterial as long as he's OK.

First blood to Chelsea. Fancy us again in the FA Cup?

get past Blackburn first ;-)

Seeing how its your only realistic chance of silverware this season, do you think Wenger might stop being a kiddy-fiddler and play some older hands?

(thats not a dig about trophies, btw, I think we've just won our only silverware of the season and unarguably the easiest to win)

Yes, I think the (sweet) FA Cup is our best shot; not our year for Europe and I think Man U look a cert for the title.

Unfortunately, most of our squad is now injured or suspended. I'm waiting for the call-up...
