When in Rome...
In an attempt to make my little Londoners a little more northern, I bought Sam a flat cap:-
I'm thinking about getting him pigeons and whippets for his second birthday.
Not to be outdone, Jacob also had a go at being a Yorkshireman:-
He just needs to get rid of his southern accent. We are already having discussions about the lack of "r" in bath, but he seems unconvinced.

Solveig's family laugh at me when i say "bath" (not "barth") but I'm working on the offspring mwahahaha...
Make sure you teach them some good Yorkshire phrases too, my favourites include 'put wood int'ole', 'tha makes a better door than a window' and my all-time winner 'tha's neither use nor ornament!' Needless to say my grandma used to delight in applying the latter to me...
I need me one of those caps. And I don't put an r in bath, so I'm ahead of the game.
knit nurse: those phrases are also commonplace in e lancs as well, along with such gems as "tha looks like tha's dropped off a flitting" and "ooh, I'm all a flunters". one day I shall regale you with the story of the wool taycake.
bob: I thought you'd dropped off the face of the planet, sir. fourstar and I were just talking about you the other day, about the moose egg white separator. and I'm very glad you don't put an r in bath, its very common.
naw, I just don't get around much lately. Seems like since I went to Bahrain I've not much time nor energy for teh internets as I used.
I've noticed you're not very present these days, or weren't until recently. good to see you too!
