The End is Nigh

The end of the school holidays, at least. Although school proper starts on Monday, the nursery doesn't open until a week later (8th Sept) because they spend the first week doing home visits for new kids. It's Jacob's last term at nursery school - after Christmas, he starts "Big School" - eek!

Sam is now old enough to go to Playgroup, and he starts on 12th Sept. The difference between this and Mother and Toddler sessions is that I get to leave him there! He'll be doing two 3 hour sessions a week this term (they've put their prices up to £7.50 a session, which makes it a bit pricey), perhaps moving up to three sessions after Christmas. After Easter, he'll qualify for five free sessions a week, either at the nursery or at Playgroup, and suddenly I'll have a lot of time on my hands....

£7.50 for 3 hours peace? Blimey, I think we might put Freyja on the train up to York each week. Would that be OK?
